TOPEKA, KANSAS:
The Kansas Expocentre will once again have ice, Adult Co-Rec hockey is back in Topeka.
Tim Paris is in charge of the getting the Topeka Adult Hockey Association on its feet this fall. He’s received some help from Shawnee County Parks & Rec. They are the official host/sponsor of the league, which means that all the money goes through them. It’s only logical that the county be involved, they will soon be operating Topeka Ice once it’s up and running. The league is hoping to schedule 30 games between late September and the end of March. The cost will be an even $300 + ISI registration and insurance per player. That works out to $10 per game, which is a bargain for adult hockey leagues anywhere.
If you have an further questions about the league, please contact Tim Paris at tparis1@cox.net.

Cool site! I had no idea we’d made the great wide internets thingy. Now i know why i’ve been getting all those crazy e-mails from Sheboygan and Great Falls, Montana.
How, though, does one become a regular user/poster oon this site? I’d like to show everyone what a REAL beerleague hockey trophy is all about.
Since my previous post was successful, i’d like now to offer the respects of everyone in the Topeka league for Bob Owen. Bob was a long-time resident of Topeka and was very influential in getting hockey started in our fair city. Bob was also a member of the 1960 US Gold Medal hockey team. Bob died last last week, and all of our local hockey community will miss him greatly.
Our beer league originally named our championship trophy for Bob 4 years ago. Sadly, it is now a memorial trophy. If anyone can let me know how, i’ll gladly upload a picture of the Bob Owen Memorial Championship Cup.
Championship game tonight!!!
Even local press coverage.
